Located about 60 miles north of Houston, Lake Livingston, the second largest lake in Texas, is a 93,000 acre reservoir on the Trinity River that spreads into four East Texas counties. Operated by the Trinity River Authority and the city of Houston, the lake is 52 miles long, and has a shoreline of 452 miles. </font>The lake is devoted mainly to recreation.
